John Linnell’s State Songs

A 1999 solo album from John Linnell of They Might Be Giants. As you might expect it’s idiosyncratic and involves a marching band and potentially steam powered carnival instruments. It’s a delightful album and has a little bit more longing mixed in with the nonsense than you’d think.
