It’s annoying when the best way to enjoy a mass market thing requires a lot of special handling and secret lore, but here we are.

“Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Donuts” aren’t really donuts as the rest of society understands them.

• Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts purchased from a Krispy Kreme store while the “Hot Now” sign is on are a different food from Krispy Kreme donuts you buy elsewhere, even from fundraising kids.

• I’m not commenting on anything but going to a Krispy Kreme store with a lit sign and ordering the original glazed.
