A real technique for getting away with stuff.
In high school, I was playing an accordion loudly in a public place with a friend of mine and a nearby shop owner called the police. When the policeman arrived, he did not threaten us or chase us away but instead engaged us in smiling conversation about accordions and encouraged us to keep playing.
My friend took to bringing the accordion to school, where teachers and administrators who had been formerly hostile to him all became friendly and lenient. We had discovered that a kid carrying an accordion can essentially do no wrong.
To apply this to your own life you’ll use something that probably isn’t a literal accordion, or more likely just keep an eye out for ne’er-do-wells and scamsters waving their own proverbial accordions at you as they try to get away with something.
