Krazy Kat ran in all sorts of strange formats as newspapers figured out what worked and what didn’t, and these collections accommodate the greatest common factor- they’re 11” by 13”, huge art objects. They’re beautiful and strange and alien in two ways: an artist from planet USA 1919 imagining a completely different planet of his own, and then telling jokes about it. They’re delightful and tend to be easy to spot at your better used bookstores because they’re gigantic.
