Johnny Staccato, TV’s Jazz Detective

The most 1959 thing that exists: Johnny Staccato is a hard boiled jazz detective (jazz!) whose adventures can pass a 1959 NBC censor and take 30 minutes with a music break and commercials. The creators take this seriously (starring John Cassavetes!) and everything is almost hard-boiled but either alluded to obliquely or magically resolved or both.
