A History of “2000 AD”, a Deeply Weird Comic Moment

Tom Ewing is working his way, feature by feature, through the history of “2000 AD”, a UK children’s science fiction comic that I am struggling to summarize. It is ultra violent and super dark compared to any 1977 US comic, a pretty cynical business that nevertheless comes off as more punk than it might. I’m doing a terrible job selling this, just read the post. It’s a remarkable history of a remarkable moment.
