Mister Miracle, Appropriate for Easter

Tom King dropped out of comics to spend seven years working in counterterrorism in the CIA, and came back to write about horrors, trauma and recovery.

Mister Miracle is Jack Kirby’s “Super Escape Artist” who “Escaped Death Itself!”, one of THE NEW GODS. The obvious analogy is overt, awkward, possibly not in good taste.

This comic won a bunch well deserved awards, and it has more Los Angeles traffic in it than you might expect.
